What does Battery of Fixtures mean?

A Battery of Fixtures is any group of two or more similar, adjacent fixtures which discharge into a common horizontal waste or soil branch.
For example a Public Restroom with a row of water closets(toilets), lavatories (hand sinks), urinals, etc.
